2010 McMillian Family Reunion

We have begun discussing the 2010 McMillian Family Reunion. It was voted to have it in Maryland. We have a tentative agenda of activities and schedule. The initial letter has been e-mailed to committee members for review and will be sent out to family members once approved.

Macy's - 02/13/09

Wasn't looking forward to looking for a pair of shoes but I really needed another pair of black shoes to wear to work. It seems like every store I go to has a hard time keeping size 10 shoes; I was hoping Macy's was different. So I did my normal skimming around the shoe section to see what shoes turned me on. I was also giving the sales associates what I call my 1 minute rule. To determine if I was going to spend money in the store, a sales associate has to approach me and ask if I need help. Whoever asks is the one that gets the sale. Three associates at Macy's passed me not asking me if I needed any help. There was one last associate, Maebaka that was nice enough and mannerable enough to ask him if he could help me with something. I promtply asked for a size 10, and so that he wouldn't have to run to the back 10 times I asked him to bring out any other comparable shoes like the ones I selected. He said he didn't mind running to the back for me; he was very professional. He said size 10 was scanty but he would check. I asked him why it was so scanty and he said that out of a shipment of let's say 20 shoes, 2 of them are a size 10. I asked why? He said he didn't know... He has had that argument several times. So I told him that I was going to start a blog about this subject. Who's responsible for what size shoes get delivered to stores anyway? Don't they know that the average woman is at least 5'7" or 5'8" these days and that the average shoe size is a size 8??? Well, there wasn't a size 10 in the shoe I requested but he did bring two others. They didn't quite work out but I thanked him for his kindness and trying to accommodate me. I apologized for wasting his time but he said it wasn't a problem; that he was sorry that he couldn't find something for me. So I headed out, stopping at the perfume to spray up before going back to work and I heard someone call me??? It was the sales associate from Macy's. He found the same shoe but in another size and wanted me to try it. Guess what? It worked and I kept the shoes on and walked back to work with them on.
